Um, performance mods to the 1.6L engine... Cold air intake, Corksport MSP catback exhaust, intake chip, Fidanza short throw shifter, JDM voltage stabilizer. Mods for the future, I have no idea but I would really like to get different cam gear. But I dont know where I can get one. (HELP!?) So I'm going to do the 2.0 MSP swap...someday.

lets see,
cai- if you can find one that works
corksport exhaust, good upgrade
intake chip, doesnt work on any model protege
fidonza short shifter, good upgrade
jdm voltage stabalizer... never heard of it..
Cam upgrade- ZL-VE cams, slightly more agressive
miata 1.6l lightweight flywheel- bolts right up..

Hi-boost turbo upgrade with good clutch around 4000ish
msp turbo swap prolly around 2000-3000 if your lucky, then if you want real power, forged motor 2000(mam shortblock, i think its 2000, might be wrong)
headbolts etc......

what i am tryin to get at is a turbo on ur 1.6l would be cheaper and can hold more power on stock internals than the 2.0l.

yeah the cams!! Where cam I get the ZL-VE cams!? and does it matter what year miata I get the flywheel out of? Cause I'll get that mug off of ebay in a heartbeat as soon as you lemme know about the year... Can I swap an entire clutch kit from a 1.6L miata into my protege?

u can try and get them through corksport, u have to call and ask for them
also if you do this get the adjustable cam gears while u are at it..
and they make underdrive pulleys for our car too.. 1.6l , for the altenator, waterpump and crank pully..

its not the clutch from the miata, its the aftermarket lightweight flywheel..

the zl-ve are a bit more agressive in the mid range, and cam gears only make them better, only one person has did this upgrade.

and thats the only part from the miata that fits..

i am getting those today after the vinyl gets fixed, i need some new ones for a show board anyway, the only thing that sux is my rims wont be on until i get back from ny in 2 weeks

cool, i just came back from new orleans saturday, went to the river walk and aquarium, sometime next month ill be going back to go to the zoo.. my girl and i have to use up or free tickets before aug 31.
