Mazda Protege Owner Photos

Nice

Those are some nice pics...hopefully soon I'll have some pics worthy of posting. What size rim/tire package is that? U think 225/40/18s on an 02 ES that has been dropped 1.5 inches will rub?

definitely custom...

I'm sure it looks better with the stock tails

well, probably, but without knowing the width and offset of the rim, it would be hard to know for sure

House attic job.

I'm gonna go with 215/35/18...the width is 18x7.5 and the offset is 43...most of the places I've contacted say that on the Proteges the offset should be between 35-42.

You have been mis-informed! On a sedan you will need at least 45mm offset with 7.5" wheel and may need to roll fenders if you're lowered. Stock offset I believe is 50mm.

Most places you contact are wrong.

Yeah your right, the offset is 45. I have the 215/35/18 on mine, didnt have to roll the fenders though. And yes I am lowered, not slammed, but I do have Tein Springs on it.

As you can tell I'm still a rookie with this one...is this where spacers come in? I'm used to (gulp) older Mustangs...it was mostly jack it up, replace.

So do I need a rim with an offset around 48? They are the ADR M-Sports...I saw one with a 48 offset. I really just don't want them to rub (due to the 1.5 inch drop).

are you missing some pieces where the front bumper meets the fender?

(nervous)

cant c me do u jus have to have 18s? ur probly going to scrub regardless especially if u plan to ride people in the back. u can correct with camber or rolling the fenders. u will also need 215 40 tires of course what type of springs are you ordering?
