Hey everyone im a new member and i have had my yellow mp3 for 3 weeks. I called mazda usa and found out what production # my car is... its # 1228 out of all of them and i am # 70 out of the 320 yellows. I was told it was a very last minute decision to make the yellow mp3's.
Is there anyone out there that lives in michigan with an mp3?

wow i heard there was 500 too. that makes it even cooler if u got a yellow one.

Hmm, I am number 1072 and I have a yellow. Either they made some blue ones after the yellow or they really did make 500 yellows.

Its true, Its true !!! Spoke with the rep from Mazda NA and confirmed the 320. Our vivid yellow is car #1005. Bought the car for my wife last saturday... Windows tinted yesterday and out for detail today. Dealer that I found the car at was about 140 miles away. Just had a struggle to keep the grin off of my face driving home over the mountain pass... All the car needs now is another 50 to 70 horsepower and I'll be done.

Dude, he was probably messing with you. :D. Ok seriously though, I've seen in tons of place that there are 500 yellow 1000 blues in the united states. Not sure what the count was in Canada.

What is the mazda north america # again. I want to see what number yellow I am. I forgot the number.

for all you people out there that dont believe me i have proof that there are ONLY 320 yellow mp3's... My car was #70 off the yellow production line and i was 1228 out of all the mp3's. if you do the math 1500-1228 is 272 if you add 70 on that that is 342. i was told there were 320 yellows and there seems to be some blues produced after or during the yellows. if that dosent convince you then call mazda usa yourself and they will tell you the same thing im telling you guys.

OK, if your car was number 70 yellow, then you do this: 1228 - 70 = 1158 That would be the number they started yellow with, 1158. If mine is number 1072, and it is yellow, that doesn't make sense.

OK, does anyone have a blue with a number higher than 1000???

your right that dosent make sence, maybe what i was told by mazda was wrong, well if mazda usa told me a lie then im going to be even more pissed off at them. the first problem i had with my car was i checked my tire pressure at my work right after i baught it and the pressure was 23 psi the tire says 55 psi that would have caused a few problems if i hit a pot hole or the tred came off the tire.

Uhmm..where did you read 55 psi on your tire? The recommended psi you should inflate your tires to is 32psi. The max the tire can handle is 55psi.
