Mazda Meet (Dave & Busters)

Refuse to go to Deal's Gap with a bunch of Street Racing super heroes. Been there, seen the carnage.

We prefer to actually go out and drive our cars rather than stand around and look/talk about them.

Oh......so that's what having money is all about.....breaking your cars and buying those borken parts.....and all this time I thought having money was for investments....man!

Not everyone can afford to pay $300 to drive their car at a track. Sometimes its better to stay chill and hang out with friends and shoot some sh*t.

How about $30 at an autocross?

For all weekend? Plus gas, food and goodies.....yeah (braindead

Plus, if something breaks, I don't have the money to buy it so it would sit there forever.

Hmm... Road Atlanta PDX = $100

TGPR track day = $125

AutoX = $30

Likelihood of breaking something = very small.

Lol. You must have an indestructible car.

Nope, I don't drive like a bloody idiot.

It seems though, that you know all about what these events will do to a car for having never driven, let alone, been to one.....(dunno)

I was scared about bringing my new car out until I watched double cross. After that I was pissed I didn't get out there sooner. Went on my first auto-x last weekend and it was a blast. Didn't put my car in any danger. I was suprised how well you can slide the back end out while keeping in control. You can always come out and watch but you will feel bad for not signing up when you had the chance.

Remember, I'm the idiot (encourage

and no, its not that I know all about what happens at those events, but since its my only mode of transportation, I'm not going to be stupid enough to risk it. Even cautious drivers get into accidents, because you can't account for something going wrong with your car or the conditions outside the car.

If anything it will make you a better driver and you can't really get into an accident because there aren't any other cars around while you have your run. Maybe if you go 300ft off course you can hit a light pole but if you are that bad you shouldn't have a license. It is more dangerous to drive on the highway than on the auto-x course.

its angerous to drive period. and the reason i dont want to do it is ai have done it before in chicago with my altima and i did have a bad experience with the car. wouldnt run for about 3 months and when its your only mode of transportation, it kind of sucks. maybe if i get a beater car then i might do it, but not now.

well, whoever had the altima before i did had never changed the tranny oil, so after three heats of constant gas/brake/gas+brake the tranny said fudge it, which that was my fault. Plus I blew a head gasket, oil started to spew into three of the spark plugs. and since i was in high school....ans back then i really was an idiot, i was out of a car for a while.

That's not the fault of autoxing... (rolleyes)

Don't confuse poor maintenance and stupidity on your part with it breaking at an autox.

(gtfo)

I think I read somewhere that an autocross is the equivalent of driving 55 miles in regard to wear and tear on the car...

...and I've been autocrossing on and off for a looooooooooooong time and I've *never* had anything bad happen to my car from autocrossing it or at the autocross....
