Sounds like a plan man. Typically 90% of our meets fail. So it would definitely be nice to have a couple set up.

yeah alot of our meets started falling through so i decided to step up which is how i earned the nickname as "chitowns rep"

Because there's never enough advance notice. Additionally, while some of the northsiders have grown up and are able to drive to the dirty souf without training wheels, some have not -- and not everyone wants to drive all the way up North for every meet.

Our meets used to be really good until a couple of douches came along and pretty much soured a bunch of us.

I agree some are last second, not all. And for the training wheels aspect about it because I know you are referring to me, I lived next to McCormick for 3 years when I went to school down there and made the trip home every weekend. Nobody is afraid of going down there.

We should definitely figure out a midpoint and make it consistant.

Phil, do you know of some good meeting places by you? I'm sure there are plenty of places that are open and suited for car meets. I don't know any, but if we want to get something together for down south, I'm game.

Could have fooled me, that's for sure. As for the midpoint idea, I've been suggesting it for a LONG time -- but it doesn't work very well, because the meets usually end up at someone's house.

I'm just tired of the poor view of the southside that a lot of people have, and typically it is just misconstrued bulls*** that they are working off.

Plus, it'd be nice to not have to make a trip in a car that has a seized caliper and bad axles.

There are plenty of forest preserves and whatnot to host a Starved Rock-ish type of meet. I think we're about 2 years overdue for one of those.

I personally enjoy going down to the Southside. When I was in Orland in January there was some forest preserve looking places that Phil pointed out and a starved rock-ish meet would absolutely ******* rule! We should make a thread of Possible places and dates to meet up. Then we can have mazdateam extravaganza.

I also have a cabin up north in Wisconsin and want to invite some of you clowns up there for the weekend.

It's the last day of April, there is a meet in May at PG so, June then? Some weekend in June?

That'll work.

Something I was thinking of - maybe we should try to get a routine going aka do something the first weekend of the month or something as a rule of thumb?

is this by a lake?

Yeah there are plenty of lakes. Unfortunately I don't fish anymore so I forget where they are in terms of where our cabin is located. We can ask or get a map while we are there. Also there is a casino 1/2 hour from there and a creek that runs thru our property.
