Just wondering if anybody on this forum is a mechanic for Mazda, or knows anything about the ECU. I am trying to install a Apexi controller and need the following wire colors from the ECU: 1.) RPM, 2.)Throttle, 3.)Speed Signal, 4.)Power, and 5.)Ground wire.
Any info would be great.

Thanks, MIKE.

well unless chiltons has gotten their acts together in the last few years....their wiring diagrams suck...and don't always have the FACTORY color codes correct....the diagram may be complete and correct...but the colors don't always match the actuall factory colors. I have found that if you REALLY need to know the true colors and codes for a cars wiring....you are money ahead going to the dealer and getting a REAL factory wiring diagram.

maybe you can find someone that has a chiltons and do some comparison before you spend the money either way. Just make sure you are getting what you expect. Thats all I am saying....

I am speaking from experience here....ended up with the chilton's and it ended up not doing me any good for the wireing...and had to go back and get the factory diagram too. (stash)

I know exactly what you're talking about nuke's I've had many cars and have never bought another chilton after my first one. It's ok for somethings, but the books are made so that chilton makes money. They make the books broad so they can cover the same car for many years, on some cars that's ok because the cars are exact, but one that I had was based on three different body styles. If you want a good manual buy the one from mazda, yeah it's expensive, but it's factual information on your car not like chilton that has one book for a car spanning 10 years...ex.

I couldnt find a Chiltons manual, but I got 8 pages of wiring diagrams for the PCM from a mechanic at Mazda. I just got done putting it in and everything works fine. Thanks guys.

Hey pro5zoom, do you think that I could get a copy of the 8 pages of the wiring diagram from you? Please!:D
