I have a 2013 CX5 touring with a non-Bose Mazda Infotainment system. I'm thinking about replacing it with an aftermarket head unit and a small amp. The amp calls for a dedicated fused line to the battery. That seems easy enough to do, just run a line through where the clutch linkage would go if the car was a manual transmission. However, I know the car also can have a Bose system and I imagine it would have an amp. Looking into it I see that fuse 43 in the engine fuse block is for this amp and is rated at 25A.
I haven't looked or checked to see if position 43 has any power to it. More importantly I don't know if the wring from the fuse block from that position to the inside of the car is present. I figure it might be, even if it isn't used. That way dealers could more easily upgrade to the Bose system.
For that matter I don't know where the Bose system amp is located when present so I don't even know where to look.
I thought I'd ask and see if anyone knows if the wiring is present even if the Bose isn't and where the Bose is located?
Thanks
