The Tribute/Escape are identical pieces minus interior design.
Powertrain/chassis/most of the BIW are identical.
A Tribute is an Escape.
As far as Protege or P5 there is no Ford influence on the vehicle at all, it is NOT a Focus with Mazda stuff on it, complete Mazda design and nothing major comes from Ford.
Small stuff, fasteners, maybe rotors, generic pieces. I know that the calipers on my Miata are the same as Escort GT Calipers.
Slave cylinders and other generic parts also might make it across, standardized half shafts, axles tubes, etc....
However you'd all be suprised at how many parts are the same across vehicles.
Interior materials in the P5 are vastly superior, not to mention the seat material.
Although the window switch gear is also in a few other non-Mazda cars, that stuff is generic now, you'll see the same switch gear in a few different vehicles from different manufactuers, they all use the same suppliers.
