Mazda emblem on back hatch

You do not need to remove the inside pannels and I pulled my emblem off with out any heat just a cpl strips of dental floss and it pulls off no problem. just use some glue gone and it will clean off the little glue behind it. I pulled mine off to cut it I think it looks much better like this.

Rust around emblem

I just came across this thread, I might have to remove mine to fix some rust that is forming around the Protege 5 emblem.

First I have to find out if my life time warranty will cover it, which is a PAIN because I have moved from the city where I purchased the car. My dealer in my new hometown said I have to go back to the original place that did the rust protection.

hey i heard that u can shave the emblems off and then paint that area that was shaved to the car's color so that ther wouldnt b any holes where the behind the p5 and mazda emblems.
ne suggestions?
shhould i just keep my p5 and mazda emblem on the car?

You would have to weld the holes closed then grind off the excess. Get it smooth before painting.
