mazda don't care

hey why doesnt someone start a petition asking mazda to offer an upgrade package to all the mp3 owners that would allow us to add the mazdaspeed turbo setup to the mp3 and some kind of factory warranty. i feel that they have totally screwed us by not offering this in the first place. i think it's great that there are a number of turbo kits available but, i would like something more reliable and dealer maintained. personally i can't afford to lose my car for days at a time so that all of the little bugs are worked out on new install not to mention the crappy emission laws that i would have to deal with. i just think that mazda has left the mp3 owners out in the cold.

To have a turbo installed in an mp3 and covered by the dealer would cost a lot for a few reasons...
-dealer price for parts
-dealer price for install
-dealer price for coverage

On top of that, they'd have to install a different ecu, etc.

If you're paranoid about having your car "down", then save your pennies, buy a Spool stage 1 kit for simplicity, have a shop install and guarantee the work.

Better to ask for suspension package upgrade instead. If they have sorted out the noise and bushing problems from the MP3.

actually since there is probably such a small fraction of all the mp3 owners that would actually be willing to not shell out the money for the factory parts...which would be expensive to say the least.....but also for all that dealer labor to have it all installed.....since it would surely be a small number of people its not cost effective for mazda to offer such a deal to such a small number...... how would they justify selling the mps turbo kit to mp3 owners and not P5 owners?

I think if you really want this option.....what mazda will end up telling you is to trade in your mp3 and get the mps.

just the truth of corperate thinking.......sad but true.

yeah i know it's more wishful thinking than anything else but it still would be a good publicity ploy by mazda to be willing to sell that even without any kind of warrenty. i mean look at gm selling their supercharger kit for the sunfire/cavelier, they really aren't going to make any money off of those. they just want people to look at their product and know that they have options.
