Mazda denies another warranty

I use to work for Mazda. (Jumped ship about 9 months ago.) But I still love the product.

Like I said there are good dealers and bad one. I just hope if a dealer treats you right that you as a consumer would return the favor and spend money at that store. Like any business they will take care of those who take car of them. No it not perfect and you right in saying that the dealer should cover repairs that are not due to a modification but if people didnt abuse the system the manufactures would not be so anal. And PLEASE dont tell me some of you dont try. Its a 2 way street. Im just trying to give the prospective from the other side of the fence.

Jonboy,

Your right customer pay is down. And why is that. Becuase the dlr has to chage more to try and cover his overhead. And the manufacture will come down on any dealer that has to high of a wty per unit rate. If you work in service you know this.

haha, i wanna try...lol.

I think my front sway bar bushings are shot(squeaking) and obviously Id wanna get them replaced under warranty, then again my car is lowered...Most everyone at the deler likes my car, but once I bring it in for warranty work they might not like me anymore (lol2)

F*ck supporting the dealer like "insider" says!!! It is the MANUFACTURER'S job to support the dealership. The fact is, I was FORCED to buy a warranty so I sure as hell expect that it will be honored EVERY TIME with NO questions asked. Period. I paid good money for that warrenty that MAY not even be needed. It's not my fault the manufacturer "hides" the warrenty charge into the car's sticker price. If they were worried about supporting the dealers, the warrenty charge that's a part of all cars' retail price would go to the dealer, not the manufacturer.

The only 'real' answer is to start offering the typical bumper-to-bumper warrenty as an option - just like A/C, power windows, etc. Since you force us to buy it, it should always be honored.

The front swaybar bushings pay 4hrs. to replace.....I do them in less than 1 hr. The transmission pays 2.8 to remove and install....best time so far is 3.1hrs....you get some good warrenty and you get some bad paying. It's part of the job.

I totally agree with girth. If the Manu. makes you buy the warranty, they should honor it with no questions. However it's the manu. that makes you buy the warranty, not the dealer.......you should always support your dealer....please.....lol

wait, lemme get this straight...Its supposed to take almost double the time to replace sway bar bushings as it is to replace a tranny (boom07)(uhm)

lol....yep thats it, makes sense right? lol It pays .2 to replace the radio, but .9 to replace the pedal covers.lol

you do make a point with the you scratch my back I scratch yours but a dealership isnt going to scratch anyones back untill you give them your cash and then fly there name. I give kudos where it is needed, I will support a mazda dealership in knoxville and the mazda where jonboy works (pm me for there names) being they both were willing to put a cu first. I think I speak for everyone when I say that means alot. They treat me right all the time. However most, no matter how much you praise them they dont care. And also like jersey said most dont care how much a dealship makes we paid for our cares so mazda should give us help with them. Some people pay for the extended warrenty and have a stock to the bone car and still have problems, that is really bad cu realations if you ask me. Now looking from your side insider I understand that if someone had a new turbo, mbc, ect and there haveing engine problems I can see that denial. But for them just being lazy and takeing the easy way out is bull crap. They see and aftermarket intake and then try to deny radio work or something to do with rear tire weights is just mind boggaling to me. Yes I have heard about an intake being the reason someone got denial of raido work please someone explain that to me.

anyways its not that were just bitching to b**** its just not right sometimes. Sometimes its okay but for alot of people they know when there voided and will take that shot in the face but when you go in for something like the case above it just doesnt make it right for mazda or any car company to be lazy and void without really proving there case.

After i bought a protege 5 i decided to sell it back after like 7 months i got 9,000 overhead so after interested and everything added together i paid 40,848 in the long run for a 22,000 dollar car. I know its dumb, but i could afford it and i wanted the car. Anyways, i bought my MSP and then talked my parents into buying a tribute. Alot of people i talk to knock Mazda cars in general. Then they see mine and i talk about how good of cars they have, they change they're minds. I've influenced atleast 7 or more people to get a mazda. THey got it from the dealership that wouldn't even help me out. Thats BS. I'm telling everyone i know not to buy from them and goto cary. I agree with them voiding s*** that i break but this wasn't the case. The other dealership gave me no hastle at all. Took 2 minutes of my time and a 30 minute drive there. It was like when i had a custom intake on my p5 it rubbed through an A/C line and ****** some s*** up in the A/C i paid for that gladly and put it back to stock. That was understandable. But this was ridiculous. :) I'm happy though it all worked out. But that dealer just lost alot of service $$ and sales $$.
