mazda dealer called me up today

so i get a phone call from my dealer asking me if i can bring my car in because they want to buy it off me. I told them im not bringing it in unless they have $11,000 waiting for me. The conversation ended pretty quick.. This ever happen to anyone? A dealer trying to buy your car back from you with no buyers even lined up? lol. Sounds like some bs to me.
