One question though: why add the old shims to the new pads? it looked like they already had shims attached

Thank you .Ohh yes the brembo comes only 1 shim. The old had 2 so i had to pull one from the old and add to the new one.

Quick Update on the Prime Brembo brake pads. A good value for money pads for around $60 a pair , Great performance for daily & no squeeling sound. The only downside is they’re a very dusty brake pads so you might want to think about cleaning your rims every week or so.
