Mazda 787B sound clip

Soudns like a f-1 mixed with a little bit of diesel engine at idle... like s***... and when he reved it, it sounds like a bike reving... it weird..

It sounds like the world's angriest weed wacker.

Idle to rev in no time is insane.

Edit: here's a pic of the thing:

DAAAAAAAMN, that sounds freakin sick and mean. You know it's good when people cheer just to hear it rev!!

Here's one of my favorite backgrounds:

that thing sounds like a monster air rachet when it revs
haha, that's right. That's where I've heard that sound before - yeah, sounds like a pit crew during a stop

they had it a 7stock a few years ago , in person it sounds crazy, jim dowing has a 4 rotor car for sale for like $125,000.00

every Le Man's car sounds crazy bad like that (I love it though) at idle...because they are not designed with a smooth idle in mind...F1 engines idle at nearly 4 grand, because the stroke dimensions and other s*** do not allow it to sustain itself at under that (40mm of stroke!!!!!!!)...not too mention they overheat in about 37 seconds if not moving at that rpm...

That recording does not do it justice at all though(you could here the echo from the room they were in just as much as the engine itself)...I never heard a 787B in person...or a 4 rotor'd engine before...But I did hear a Porsche air cooled GT-1 (won LeMans in 98/99 I believe) in Hershey PA a few years ago...and it sounded insane idling around...but at full boost near redline on a track, your fillings rattle out...and your girlfriend leaves you...

cool clip though Josh...that one is getting saved...

the 4 rotor sounds like a really, really loud 2 rotor. a fully tuned 3 rotor has a unique tone to itself as well. those 787's sound awesome at speed if you've seen/heard those clips.

as for the f1 cars, insane technology and development going into engines that can rev 18,000 or so RPM's.
