Alright guys.
As you all probably know we've had a lot of bad weather lately (UK) with wind & rain...
I noticed this problem a few weeks ago, but then it disappeared, so I thought nothing of it...
I was driving along & pulled up to a junction, braked & I heard a very loud swoosh of water from the passenger door area. I originally thought the passenger door had managed to get a load of water in it. I pulled over, opened the passenger door, which didnt seem any heavier, I shook it a few times, but there was no swooshing sound... I drove on for a bit, come to another junction & braked a little harder, which I heard this loud swoosh of water again... I'm talking about 3-4 liters of water swooshing around in, what seems, the main frame of the car (only on the passenger side though).
We had a lot of rain last night, I got in my car this morning & noticed that behind the passenger seat (in the footwell) there was a very big puddle of water...
I drove to work, heard the swooshing of water every time I broke... Parked outside work for a few hours, its dry outside, so I went to check & I can see that the car has been leaking water from somewhere near the passenger door...
Here you can see the water leaking from somewhere...
Footwell behind the passenger seat (excuse the mess...)
I've had a look around to try and find where the water is coming in and the only place I can possible, althou I don't think the amount of water that seems to be in the frame could get through these holes, is from here:
The missing roof rack covers... I lost these when cleaning the outside of my car about 8 months ago... So it seems a bit strange that I havent had this problem before... but this seems like the only place I can see how the water is entering... But that throws another question of, if its getting in through here, why isnt the driver side effected as well?
I really dont want the car to start smelling of damp so I wanna try and solve this ASAP.
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks!
