Mazda 323 F GT

Hi.

I have Mazda 323 F 2.0 V6 GT (1997) in my garage. Can someone tell me what is this on the picture in the red circle?

Looks like a vacuum solenoid. Couldn't tell you what for though...

the box it connects to is the mass air meter, as for what it does i could not tell you. the 323F was never available in the states.

Does the 2.0 imply it is 2.0L? Is that a typo, a 2.0L V6? If so, what's the point? Seems like the pistons would be too small to be of much use...

the mx3 had a 1.8 liter v6

It's the KF-ZE..It was also in the Eunos 500.

The KF-ZE makes pretty decent power... 160bhp, but only about 130 ft-lbs of torque.

The K8-ZE makes about the same power a stock MP3 does, with about 200cc's less discplacement (140bhp). However, it only makes a little over 110 ft-lbs of torque.
