Mazda 3 Trims (Canada)

What are the different levels on the Mazda 3 for trims? Up here in Canada we have the GX, GS, and GT trims. As far as I can tell the GX is the 'plain jane' model with 2.0L, 15" wheels, and not much for power options. The GS and GT models have the 2.3L and 16" rims and all power options. Is that right? Do the body mods (ie: side skirts) come only on the middle and high end trim level? Is it standard?

Not looking at getting rid of my Protege or anything, just curious cause the next car I buy will definately be a Mazda 3.

yeah, mazda.ca should have the specs you're looking for..

But for a quick read, here's the low down on the Canadian models for '04 and '05 ('06 seems to be a different ball game)
For detailed power options, you should check mazda.ca.. cause its too complicated to remember whats available with what..
This is just basic info on how to tell one model from another.

GX
comes in 1. 'plain jane' and 2. Convinience package (AC, steeringwheel buttons etc)

-15" steelies, with covers
-2.0L 148hp
-no door modlings, black mirrors, black door handles
-black front grill
-limited power options

GS
comes in three basic levels, 1. no power package 2. power package 3. sport package

-15" alloys, 16" alloys come with a 'sport package'
- moonroof comes only with 'sport package'
-2.0L 148hp
-body colored moldings and mirrors (black mirrors with no power pckg)
-black front grill
-power options vary with each level

GT
comes in two levels 1. without GFX package 2. with GFX package

1.without GFX package
-16" alloys
-black front grill, fog lights
-2.3L 160hp
-moonroof and most other power options are available

2. with GFX package
-17" alloys
-body colored front grill, blackish back tail lights, side skirts, fog lights
-2.3L 160hp
-this is the top end model, so you can basicly get any power option you want (leather , moonroof etc.)
