Mazda 3 Sirius Radio sits on "Loading" Screen

Hello,

My dad just got a 2009 Mazda 3 sedan and had the dealer install the OEM Sirius radio. Whenever he first starts up the car in the cold weather, the radio sits at a screen that says "LOADING" for awhile until it starts playing music. This can go on for 10 or 20 minutes sometimes. It starts up right away when it's warm.

He called the dealer, and they gave him some line of BS about how it's normal because of the Sirius/XM merger and downloading channels and some other crap that didn't make any sense. I know it's BS because I have a VW GTI with the OEM Sirius radio and mine starts up instantly regardless of temperature, and my mom and brother both have plug-n-play Sirius radios in their cars and they also start up right away. Not to mention, that doesn't explain why his radio works fine when it's warmer outside. So something definitely does not seem normal. Does anyone know what could be wrong and is it something that can easily be fixed? I've done a bit of car audio stuff in the past so I'm not a complete idiot when it comes to these things, but I know nothing about Mazdas and don't want to go ripping up the interior in my dad's 4 week old car, so I hope it's possibly an easy fix. Thanks

T0325 sorry your Dad's Sirius is acting up I'll put a call out to my local dealer and keep you updated. But the radio pulls out in less than 2 minutes.
