Mazda 3 Seats

Alright, I know this is kind of a nit pick kind of thing, but I don't like S cloth seats with the red/blue inserts. I wish you could get the i cloth seats in the S models. They look so much better and add contrast to the already blackened interior of the 3. I honestly like the interior of the i over the s interior. I like the look of the beige interior and I like the look of the gray cloth seats. Why did Mazda feel the need to make such stupid cloth seats for the s model?

Am I the only person who feels this way?

Buyers remorse. If you didn't like the seats, then why did you buy it?

Personally I liked the black leather seats in my MZ3 Hatch. I checked out the cloth seats and also didn't like them, so I didn't buy the car that had them.

I haven't bought the car yet.

So this is why I am debating getting a more fully loaded i model as opposed to the s. Unfortunately, Winning Blue (my fav color) only comes in s form. I was just wondering if anybody else felt this way about the cloth seats.

i personally hate my leather seats. i wish i could have gotten cloth but unfortunatley the only car on the lot that had cloth and was a 5-speed had the nav and xenon lights and i didn't really need those.

i actually really like the red cloth in my s sedan. I wish i had leather but i just looks to monotone. I like the red cause it matches the interior and you could add some more coloor trims to it and i think it would look pretty good. thats just me though

i like the cloth seats, the red inserts on a black car are pretty sweet... but blue with blue would kinda be a bit much i would think.... don't get the i model... not enough ponies....

If you are looking for leather seats, you should get them aftermarket. I agree with you, The leather is too much black and the color inserts a kinda cheezy. My plans when I get my 3 is to just get the cloth and then get some aftermarket leather from www.autoleathers.com. I am thinking about black leather with silver suede inserts. I wish we could get the 3s with tan interior, it is much nicer and cooler in the summer. If you are into performance and aftermarket, I would not suggest the 3i.

i dont want to hijack this thread but..

If you are into performance and aftermarket, I would not suggest the

i have to ask, why?
i think half the fun is in the challenge and parts keep coming out. With the huge acceptance of this car more and more parts will be in the market soon.

Not for the 2.0 liter. The aftermaket for this car is fairly small as it is, and what has been developed is mostly for the 2.3 liter. I'm not saying that there isn't any for the 2.0l but don't expect to see a whole lot.

true but if you are into perfromance and aftermarket parts would you get the 2 liter and lose like 15 HP? i wouldnt. the 2.3 is the only way to go if you ask me.

thanks for the autoleathers link. I too don't really like the interior (altho, it has grown on me) cloth. But the leather was too black, and would get reallly hot. that and I wasn't too thrilled about its quality.

custom sueded inserts.. that would kick ass actually. my friends old 2002 is had them.. and i loved it.

I've always had and liked leather, but compromised and got cloth. SURPRISE! I like it. Drove an S sedan w/ leather and found that I had to pay attention to keeping my body in place. The cloth holds you in place much better. I have winning blue w/ blue inserts on the seats. I think it looks great. Not too much flash, just enough. Best of all the cloth is not that velveteen crud like Grandma's Buick. If you like to drive, then I'd recommend the cloth on the Mz3.

i think our cloth is the best quality interior you are going to find other than leather.
its not your typical entry-level-compact car interior.

Solid black leather seats and interior is the way I went. I love dark colors--especially black. It doesn't get much hotter than any other car does around here. After living in South Florida for so long I get used to the heat, and an extra 4-5 degrees doesn't make a difference when the car is already 170+ degrees inside after sitting in the sun for 4 hours.
