Mazda 3 problems/after filling with gas will not crank/stalls when idling

does anyone know what may be the problem after filling with gas it will not crank? I have to floor the gas pedal to crank it. A nice fellow at the gas pump gave me that advice to crank it. It also does not idle well, it has cut off at stop lights. The engine light is on, when I had it checked the code was system lien II and something about a vacum leak. Has anyone had this problem or know what may be causing it? Thanks!

Get the actual CEL code number, please. Maybe that'll help. If it was running fine and then this started right after the fill-up, the answer seems obvious, but that code or codes will tell us alot. If you were having any issues before the fill-up, we need to know everything about that.

code P2187 system too lean at idle speed bank 1 and P0455 evap emission control system leak large. symptoms started before fill up, been having them for bout 6 months now. Thanks!

i was having same problem, check ur purge solenoid vaule(right on top of the HPFP), take that out(really easy) and blow it from both side(one side should be fully closed and one side is opened), if both is open mean u need to replace it i think $80 ar russel mazda!!
