Mazda 3 oil filter special tool ?

I read the Mazda 3 Sport 2.3L has a special filter, one that does not have the typical metal can.

Anyone done oil change and what special tool is needed and any precaution or advice ?

there is a thread from a sponsered oem dealer who can sell you the tool and some filters for a good price... other then change the O rings when you change the filter and to be careful of not stripping out the drain screw (its metric) in the cartridge cover.
