hey guys, i have this extended warranty which i bought from the mazda dealer couple years ago and i have a question whether i can do service on the car anywhere outside the dealership with the use of this warranty. Let's say if i go to a licensed mechanic, would the warranty still work???

i am gonna guess probably not. any excuse to void your warrantee so they can get out of it.

i will let people w/ more info chime in, but in my experience, dealers will do anything to void that warrantee so you have to pay.

oh ok thanks a lot man, if u ever get more ino please let me know. i have 90k on my car and the warranty is up to 100k, and i really hate the dealership lol

I am not sure about the mazda extended warranty, but I just got this thing in the mail from Geico called the MBI plan. Apparently I've been paying for it this whole time, and it's essentially an extended warranty, however, they pay for everything except for a $250 deductible that I would pay on the repair.

Came in really handy the other day when I had to replace my starter.

The good thing is that you can take your car to any mechanic and just open a claim with geico, and they'll cover it.

nicem dude haha i just brought my mazda to the dealer for service. they are gonna replace the intake manifold and a recampinion from the power steering. The whole service would cost aout 2500 $ but with my deductible i only pay 50!!!!! so nice and plus i get a free rental for the time of repairs
