I had purchased a CDI FP kit from Mr. Lilguys website (or associates website). It was sometime in April of this yr. I have not yet installed the FP interal kit because I have been reading ppl having issues with the kit after a couple of 1k miles. Does anyone know or heard about any issues with these kits? Also, I have tried to contact Mr. Lilguy through the forums, but no luck. Did this Carp Diem Industries company die out and stop making products for the MS3? Because I would like to get my money back if the kits ain't working..... Txs...

I will do my best to not sound biased, but I owned a set of the cdi's that failed and I also know of 10 sets that Randy (palerider) GAVE out to the socal guys like haltech and nator...they were fail as well.
The main problem was with quality control issues and most(99.99%) of them had the wrong tolerances so they would seize and get all scratched up, or just wear down over a couple thousand miles. If you got a set that works its pure luck, they are few and far between.
Some of the people who had them fail just simply didnt do the install correctly to begin with so it was fail either way.
I'd say go ahead and install them, and see what happens. If the car cuts at all stop and remove them and put back in whatever you have right now. Bad internals wont blow your motor it will just run like s***.

Wow. Thanks all for the heads up... So basically, I should cut my losses with the CDI kit. Dammit.. That was money thrown away for a bad product. No wonder these guys don't reply back to my messages. They screwed everyone over...

It's not that they screwed everyone over, well they did, but they just arent a big enough company to fully back their product and give everyone a refund and then put more R&D/quality control into the kits to make them better. IMO the people that bought these kits are fully responsible- you know when you buy something like this that there is a failure rate, and there's a huge chance you could mess the install up and cause failure. It's the risk you take when you mod the car... You have to be well informed of what you are getting and what to expect from it. When I bought/installed mine I knew perfectly well from doing some reading that people were having failures and problems, so when mine failed I wasnt surprised at all.
