As I'm on my way to my lovely job today in the morning , I come across a slight issue that seams to be coming from my transmission , now this happens to be a combination of a hiss and wineding , at first I didn't think much of it but after the noise got louder I let of the gear (5th @ the time) and it magically quit. As I'm still on a roll , I put the car in gear ( this time 4th ) and no noise but when I shift back to 5th the noise came back (all this in a laps of less than 40-50 yards) . Now prior to this noise I have had a rattle noise at all time when the car is in neutral that I'm pretty sure ( correct me if u think I'm wrong ) is the release bearing going bad . The rattle has not gone away , planing on putting a new clutch kit on it , possibly a exedy nothing fancy. My question is weather I need to replace the LSD knowing as how they are notorious for coming apart....
