Maximum Tire Width

What is the widest tire anyone has put on stock wheels/rims of the Mp3 without having to do any body work, rolling fenders, things of that sort

biggest I've seen on here with no mods or rubbing so far is a 215 width. Not sure of anything bigger. I'll probably be getting 215s for racing if I can ever decide to actually purchase something.

Only 215's? Damn we come with 205 and they look way to small, i was thinking in the 235-245 range- 215 isnt that great- what a let down- keep postin i need more input

if you put 235 or other bigger then that.... I don't think your car can run fast anymore...... I suggest only put one size bigger then the original size is enough

Tire Size

Our Racing Hart rims can handle up to a 225 size tire comfortably. But you are talking about alot of rubber making contact and slowing our cars down while launching. If primarily you would be using the car for autocrossing, this would be a good thing though because you would have more traction in the corneres and slaloms. IMO you should go with 215s, that way you get the enhanced traction without compromising you straight-way speed.

i agree with coolhand, i would stick to 215's.... thats what im getting when my tires are gone...

I have not run anything wider than stock on the stock rims but I have run 225/50-15 "R" tires on 7 x 15 rims. They did not have any clearance problems that I found. This shorten the gearing less than 2% and put a lot of rubber on the road. It worked out well but I do not want to run in ESP.
