2003 MSP
I bought a MSP a few weeks ago, not overly familiar with the car and its components yet, but the boost is currently set at 9 psi. I'm was curious what I would be able to set it at without damaging the turbo. The mods to the car are: ION performance turbo back exhaust, Injen cold air intake, ION FMIC, and HKS BOV.

i would stay at 9 tell you build the block, tuned maybe 12 but i would stay at 9

The turbo will be fine, but your engine may be at risk without a proper tune. Stock boost is 6 psi, and you may be ok at the 9 psi you're at now. But I would definitely suggest some type of engine management soon, the SS AFC is what a lot of us use and would definitely do the trick for ya.

Welcome to the community, enjoy your MSP. You should post some pics :)

i added one pic of the car into profile into my garage I think it was, Ill take more once the snow get the hell outta here haha, i need to do some minor touch up's with the paint but other than that it runs awesome, love it so far!

when it starts to fuel cut, you're boosting too much lol. Just take it easy on her, These motors are not strengthened in any way. If you push too hard it will push a rod out of the block.

yeah id rather not blow out the engine, i leave it at 9 and haven't gone any higher yet and dont plan on it unless is did some more upgrading to the engine block, it was more out of curiosity to see what the stock motor and turbo could handle with the few upgrades as mentioned

9. you have a great setup to run on 9 though, better than most people who risk their engines running higher boost. get a tune and you'll love it.

If you run the unichip it has a boost switch that sets it to 10-13 psi... You are safe up to 15psi with the right tune...

how are you safe up to 15 psi on the right tune. is that tune coming from God because we all have heard and seen these motors blow at stock boost and high boost. granted every car is different but it is highly unlikely your going to run 15 psi on the stock motor without it one day deciding to go boom.
