Hi guys... i as wondering if anyone has an extra Airflow sensor laying around, or knows where i can get one for a decent price... that stupid plastic with the 'blue dot' on it... i know its a long shot... but i just thought i would ask... i could use one.

Not sure if any aftermarket units are available, but if so, might be able to pick up a few ponies. I know Granatelli makes them for domestic models, but not sure if they have one for the P5.

If you broke your MAS, you're screwed. A replacement from Mazda will cost a few hundred.
:-(

i know... its 250 CAD.... i didnt brake it.. but to make a long story short... my intake pipe is ... how should i say... permanently stuck to it... and iwanted to redo my intake.. and now i cant get the ***** off. Oh well.... i might find some way around it.... but i didnt know you could get these aftermarket... cant see how that would increase hp though.

Well, I am getting ready to replace the mass airflow sensor (MAF) in my 90 240 SX. I called a friend at a Nissan dealership and he said they were like $540 and he could do it for $440 for me, but I also called Autozone and they had one for $95 plus a $90 core charge, so I will prolly do that. I would imagine that there has to be one that would work from another mazda vehicle, but I am not sure. Check your local parts stores and see what they say, better than paying full boat at a dealership.

Peace
Griff

Everyone know that little two pronged plastic sensor behind the strut tower bar that you have to run tiny clamps, hoses, etc. to when you install the CAI? Has an electric plug on it? Yeah...I broke that when I was taking the hoses off and had to pay $100 to Mazda to get a new one. Sigh....teaches a lesson in caution.
