manual boost controlers??

turbo xs is very good too
that would be my next choice before going EBC, but for the money Joe P is the best.

I have the turbo xs, the only thing about the xs that is better over the joe p is the ability to return to stock boost. For the money Joe P all the way.

the ability to return to stock boost = your ability to take MBC off :D

P.S. Peter is a n00b :P

j/k bro, Wassup dude! how u been?

What model from boost sciences??

Accuboost, if you want to switch back to stock *from the cabin* (no s*** please Doc:)), get the Dual stage 1 package. It is not up on the website yet, but it will be soon. If you contact BoostSciences, Cliff will get you squared away.

haha!
have i ever given you s*** 505??? :D

yeah, those dual stage boost controllers are awesome.
it cured the spiking that some people got with Joe P MBC's.

All you guys with an MBC, did you replace the hose that goes to the wastegate or just cut it a little at the end to place the MBC !???

Replace the hose. The stock hose gets too hard and will crack. Run a new one while your down there. You will have to cut the old one away with an xacto-knife or something like it. The stock one is one there real good.

didnt replace mine.
just cut off a little at the end, used a pass-through fitting and 2 inches of regular 3/16 hose.

Just take the whole line off, it's crappy hose. I put up a short how-to on removing that entire vac line assembly in one piece, so it can be replaced later if need be. I can't remember where it is though.

Im about done with my JoeP MBC... works fine till 10 or 11psi, but with the new exhaust, anything about that and it spikes out of control and is causing some major headaches.

I stand by Joe P's products, but there are better MBCs out there...

If you want to spend the money, the new Halman in-car MBC is absolutely pimpin...
Works very well.

hey 505,
remember that letter that i was talking about few months ago?
the one that dealers got saying if the wastegate line is repplaced then it is a first sign that people have been using boost controllers. and they will deny you worranty just based on that one hose.
it has been done.

in your case u might not care as much about your worranty as others that are only looking at simple mods.

be carefull with what you repplace.
