MAM SS or HiBoost

I've recently decided to keep my car and just go boost instead of wasting my money on a downpayment. I would just like to know which kit is "faster" acc./speed wise without having to get internals and also what is the highest boost i can go without blowing my motor which each kit. I have tried the search button but I still can't decide. 1/4 mile times for both would be appreciated as well w/out internals. Thanks. Any help will be appreciated.

you're going to be able to get to the same hp with both, also the same 1/4 times, just depends on boost...

Oh damn, this thead will no doubt be interesting now that you've opened up that can of worms! I will try to keep an eye on this thread to keep the BS out...but be warned..

Yea I don't want to start anything, I just want to know what kit gives out what numbers. Basically what kit gives out more power without having to get into the motor.

well, both can generate the same numbers on the same internals, because the rods will limit you to around 220 whp or so. both kits are capable of hitting that number. but due to the larger, more efficient turbo and intercooler the MAM kit will get you there with a little cooler temps.

plus, being all stainless steel, and coated (ceramic and powder) it will look better, but thats an opinion.

Here is some information about our turbo kit performance.

This is the dyno at 8 PSI of boost and cat coverter:

This is the dyno at 10 psi and 13 psi without cat converter.

My personal experience: 40,000km on my kit...not one problem (not even one bolt has come loose on this kit, I check my engine bay every other week)... lots of boost... Haltech is easy to learn and program (if you decide to add/change things...intermediate to advance users, but the stock map is great), quality parts used in this kit, huge IHI VF-22 turbine, bolts up to stock exhaust system, clean looking engine bay, uses stock injectors, outstanding service from Juan.

The "biggest" thing I had installed on a car was a my Tein SS kit prior to installing the Hiboost Kit. I was able to do it over the course of 5 days(avg)...I took my time.

you guys are daring :) haltech or not, i'd never run 10 psi on the stock rods

that said, the F10X is a great fuel tuning computer and like YP5 Toronto said works very well and is very easy to tune

you are a total lemming if you belive 260 whp on that tiny-ass mainifold, turbo and, small downpipe at 13 psi

Hey guys... give it a rest with the passive aggresive sarcasm already. Leave the thread as objective as possible - This conjecture is getting tired.
