MAM Midpipe

I have a question.. in case MAM doesnt answer in time..

What is the O2 sensor bung on the midpipe for?

I only have 2 O2 sensors .. and both are on my header right now...

I can post pics if you want.. just gotta shrink em

I think I know what happened.. they sent me one with the extra O2 bung welded in..

"ll of our midpipes come with a flex joint,rear gasket and new hardware.
The midpipe bolts between the J-pipe and catback.All midpipes are 2.5" and come in either Aluminized Mild Steel or Stainless steel.
If you have an MSP or would like an extra O2 bung, it's $10 extra."


****.. what do I do now? Take it to an exhaust shop and have it welded closed?

I guess he thought I had the MSP? Dunno..

Hope it doesnt cost much to get it fixed.

oh s*** i forgot the time difference... i was like how the **** do you expect to install this at 4AM...LOL

go to the autoparts store and see if they have a plug that will just screw into that bung. i would assume they would have something.

don't weld it, you may get a WB in the future, or sell it, and then you'd be kicking yourself.

its an 18mm (1.25 thread I think), just plug it or throw in an old spark plug

I went to Checkers Auto Parts and bought an 18mm oil drain plug.. fits like it was meant to be there...

now if only I had time to install..

You guys want a How To:? I can make one.. not sure how many people are buying this midpipe...

Plugged mine with oil drain plug and some muffler cement.

ok.. I installed my kartboy exhaust hangers.. the cat is still touching the crossmember.. I had my friend that works at mazda look at my motor mounts and he said they are still good.

what now?
