M5 roof rails? Why not N. America?

me too. I don't like having a rail system for one car and needing a separate Yakima or Thule base system for the 5, but I'm also not going to spend double the cost of a complete system just to make my existing rail system work.

Crud. Shame on Mazda for making this so expensive for us!

... and after just getting home from England, driving around seeing Mazda5's with roof rails... I just want them more. My '06 really should have come with them, or at least the option should be available.

Please, in the next "refresh", give us this option!

As long as you don't mind drilling four holes on your roof to mount it. I'm in the snow belt where lots on winter salt is used and mazdas have a rust reputation so I'll gladly pass on this mod.
