Luminics Krypton JDM Yellow Fog Light Bulbs

New cx-5 owner here I hate the white fog lights and want to swap to yellow, I had these on my Jeep and loved them but read some where the is a plate that block the use of longer bulbs. Anyone have these installed or know if they will fit. Thanks in advanced

Those incandescent bulbs will fit. Longer LED and HID's will not. Those will require the metal shield to be crimped and pulled out of the housing, which takes no longer than 2 minutes each after you remove the housing from the bumper.

I had a hard time getting them out. I ended up putting the second one in the oven after the trouble I had with the first. Not to mention the reflector is pretty scratched up inside (although you can't notice unless you get right up and look in).

Largely depends on the tool used. I used a perfectly sized needle nose plier to crimp the camp small enough to just bend the tab and pull right out. No damage to the chrome plated reflector housing inside either. Granted this is on my RX-8, but the foglight housing is the exact same part (down to the part #) as confirmed by another user that replaced one of his cracked foglights.
