I want to lower my 07 MS6, but I need help on deciding which type of springs I should get. Ive had Eibach prokit on my last car and I liked those alot not a drastic drop but it looked better then stock ( it was an 02 eclipse gt.). Anyway how much does the eibach prokit for the ms6 drop and how about the H&R springs, how much drop do those provide? I am on stock wheels now and I dont plan on getting a set of wheel until next summer, but ill probably run 18's. but I want to run a wide tire, possibly 235 or 225 without rubbing. any suggestions let me know please, thanks.

Here's my car before being dropped with H&R springs.

I'm also running H&Rs on stock wheels, no rubbing issues. I know he's got his rolled, you can rent a roller, have a shop do it, or use heat and a baseball bat to get the job done.

If you're looking for a less drastic drop with good results, look at the RPM Street/Sport springs. If you look for a picture of bova80's car, he's got those. Cleans up the wheel gap on front & rear pretty well.

Hey to anyone who has put the H&R springs in there mazdaspeed 6. Can you get the car back into alignment. Or would i have to buy the adjustable ball joints to get it back in all the way. Will it eat through tires having it lowered with the H&R springs.

Thanks

I had the alignment checked and the front camber was within spec. The adj. Balljoints will give you the adjustment you need and are a good idea even without the springs. If you're set on getting them,do them with your springs. Otherwise, wait until you see how the car responds to the springs.

Alright sounds good thanks for your quick reply. Im thinking i will put the springs on and see if i can get it back into alignment, if i cant then i will get the balljoints. The one thing im afraid of is i live in Utah and it snows like 8 months out of the year so i hope im not pushing snow. Then again it couldnt be any worse then my MX6.

You should be fine. I did the H&Rs back in the summer and haven't got around to buying the ABJ's yet, but at this point, keeping the tires rotated regularly will keep me from having to buy them. It just becomes a matter of convenience and adjustability once they're installed.

Having the alignment done will tell you how big of an issue your front camber will be. Mine is -1 in the fronts and -1.5 in the back and seems to be wearing fairly well.

Alright sounds good i will put the H&Rs on for sure. They seem to be the most favored spring by MS6 owners. Thanks

They'll definitely drop it quite a bit, but they also stiffen it up. If you're not looking for as big of a drop, check out the RPM springs (Street or Sport). I've heard good about both.

Ya i looked at those but the pic of the speed6 with them on it looked like it hadn't been lowered at all. So thats why i was thinking i would go with the H&Rs. Is the ride of the H&Rs really rough or not to bad. My MX6 is lowered with eibachs and if i run over a penny i can feel it, well alright that's an exaggeration but you get my point haha.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure you looked at all the options.

Everyone on H&Rs keeping stock struts? If so how long will they last? I can def afford springs but the combo of struts + springs is too much, rather to coilovers if that is needed..
