Low RPM Stutter

Hey All,

For the past year or so I've been trying to track down the cause of a low RPM stutter that I get. It seems to only happen once the car is warm though. When I shift into 2nd/3rd/4th/5th and try to accelerate with the RPM's about 1300-1600 it bucks and stutters. No CEL or anything. I've replaced plugs and the wires and coils are pretty new (less then 10k miles) as well.

Its annoying because I have speed bumps in my development that I need to really slow down for. Too fast for first gear but just a little slow for second so I end up grabbing second gear and it bucks under medium to hard throttle.


Any ideas?

even with out a cel on put a scanner on it and check anyway you might have a stored code that doesn't need a cel on, also if you have the stock intake hose and filter box you may want to begin checking there, check the accordion looking part of the intake tube

What should I be checking on that tube? I had it off two weeks ago when i replaced the filter and i didn't see any cracks. I'll hook my phone up to it tonight and see what torque says.

Check/clean the IAC valve and EGR valve.

Cracks is what your looking for, but just give a visual look over literally spread each hump apart and check for hair line cracks, I had the same problem and this and the connector for the crank shaft sensor was bad
