low idil

well my car has been acting funny lately it has a really low idil sometimes under1000 what can it be it has turned off on my aswell .help please

Idle should be 70050 so below 1k is alright.

More than likely you have a boost/vacuum leak or
Dirty EGR valve
Dirty IAC valve
Camshaft Position Sensor
Crankshaft Position Sensor
Throttle Position Sensor
Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor
Neutral Switch
Clutch Switch

Do you have a vac-boost gauge?

Ignition timing should be 101 degrees.

could be a leak somewhere. My bet would be a dirty EGR. if you're still under warranty just take it to the dealer and have them replace or clean the EGR valve, they should know what to do. fixed my issue np.

Im pretty sure the last part hes saying the vehicle is stalling on him..

I would highly doubt that his egr would be causing the stalling...

more than likely hes got a boost leak which is causing his rough idle/stalling situation.

to the OP - what mods, if any, do you have? how many miles? when do you get the stalling issue?

werd. im not really sure how, but that was the problem with mine.

i have a simple hks exhaust,fmic fuelpump bov thats it. where is the egr located at.

BOV. Thats the problem if its not recirculated.. It will cause stalling..

This is more than likely the case, unless you relocate the MAF you will stall with a BOV.

i had the same problem, i also had a funny sound that i could swear was something catching on the body of the car and causing a grinding sound

took it into the dealership, they took a look, ended up being a exhaust leak near the gaskette (cant spell worth a damn), was a quick fix, car runs nice now


I should have actually guessed it cause i jacked the car up and its cold where i live so there was alot of hot air (exhaust) visible from underneath the car
