low budget 1.6l tuning project

hi, this is for the one without the loot $$$
car : 1.6l protege 2000 auto tranny (sucks)
i want to : make it faster with less $$ they dont sell turbos at walmart!!

so far on my car :
cosmo racing CAI : 130$ shipped
piggy back : 86$ shipped
ebay muffler : 38$ shipped
front & rear strut bar (ractive) : 86$ shipped
17'' rims on good tires
soon :
obx header(ceramic) : 150$ (~200$shipped)@ www.streetstyler.com !
sooner :
a fan (26000rpm!) that ill stick in my intake with a open throttle activated switch (low cost/low performance turbo!!!) : 25$

in theory : ~39 hp or more, for 479$
in the field : (probably lot less than 39)
i guess i would have better result with greater quality product, but hey the 1.6l isnt the best car to own the streets anyway... i would want to dyno it after to see how crappy(or not) these cheap parts can do for my car...
for now i would say that i gain little hp, but loose some torque or maybe im just due for my change oil.
everyone would say im stupid of turboing my car with an hair dryer but i so want to try it!!

Lol thats is dumb.
The wheels and tires are gonna be the big gain. THe Cai is gonna cause the car to loose 10 hp. We dont have piggy backs.

then theres the header which we dont have for the 1.6l. Notice it says 01+ 1.6l's they dont exist. We've been waiting for a obx header for along time when it didnt show up Protephile went out and got some thunder headers for us.

Youll be down power.

A 26000 rpm fan is usless a blade will fall off and get sucked into your engine causeing it to get pissed off at you. (prob not die becuase the 1.6 is a beast) A real electric super charger is a massive pice of equiptment that comes with its own battery and costs at least $800.
