started my car right before the sun went down and started to drive and noticed that my street was awfully dark. come to realize that both of my headlights stopped working. so i pull over and do some tests. high beams work, parking lights, work, low beams, nada. need inputs bad. i will change the bulbs out tomorrow when i have light to see, will high beams and parking lights work if the bulbs go bad? is it a bad switch? when two bulbs go out at the same time it usually and probably isnt the bulbs? any input will be appreciated, thanks.

This happened to me on my 2003 6s about a year ago. I had just gotten it inspected so I know that they were working and then a couple weeks later, I realized that only the fog lights were working. Got new bulbs and it has been fine ever since. I'm sure you've gotten it fixed by now, but apparently on the 6 cyl. cars changing the bulbs is very labor intensive (they had to take the bummper off) and I had to pay ~$200 at the dealer for this. Next time I will try myself, but like you I assumed that there was something else going on so I took it to the dealer hoping that it would be covered under warranty.

lil old but same exact thing happened to my 03 6i. I just used it as an excuse to go hid.

We need to post up a how to for changing out the bulbs. Luckily mine haven't gone yet or anything but I dread the day when I have to take care of that mess, I definitely don't want to pay the dealer $200+ for a new headlight bulb.
if someone could take the time to do a write up with pictures of the various Bumper clip/screw locations etc that would be great.
This forum needs more of this stuff in the How-to section

Myself and other mods can edit the post if more detail instructions are needed.
