Loud squeak going over speed bumps

My car is a 08.5 and has less than 5k miles. I've noticed that almost every morning in 25-35F weather (New Jersey), when I go over the speed bumps near my house, the front shocks make this loud sqeak when they get compressed. This does not happen for the rest of the day. It ony happens when the car has been sitting in the cold all night. It disappears within the first 30 mins of driving in the morning.

Anyne else get this?

Yes, same here... mine has 10k miles. This only happens below 25 degrees or so for me...

My car's at the dealer today, I'll let you know how it goes. The service desk basically said "Yeah there isn't really anything to grease, the 'Speeds have the stiffer parts that squak when cold". But I'll post again later when I pick up the car.

Update on the situation; dealer called and said they ordered some bushings for me. I didn't expect that, but I'm pretty nice to them so maybe that goes a long way.

And no it's not just "ice". Check out my video. Ride in anything else but a 'Speed 3 (trucks, vans, grand prix's, take your pick) and, even under the same conditions, they do not make noises from the suspension like that. It's a long winter season here, and with our climate people would notice something like that.

Maybe other racing-type cars like Evo's or Sti's, but those are really rare around here so I wouldn't know.

yeah, this is a very well-known issue with the speeds. Seems to be at roughly 25F mine make noise. If you have ever had a car with performance bushings or sway bars then you have probably heard it too.

Yup, it sounds similar to when I had an Energy Suspension bushing kit on one of my other cars.

I get this too for the first few minutes. Not every day, just here and there.

It doesnt really bother me as long as it isn't hurting anything.

Seems like nothing is wrong with the car then. Good to know that. Are you still going to let the dealership change out your bushings?

Well temperatures plunging recently, i'm definitely getting a LOT of front end suspension noise. Even over going over minor bumps now. I have speed bumps also throughout the complex. It's pretty nasty but it just goes with the territory of owning this kind of car in the cold climates.

Was a sarcastic comment, but the idea remains the same as ice. It's just the cold causing things to make noise. It goes away after a while through use which creates a bit of heat and looses up whatever stiffness occurred overnight. The coilovers on my old 240sx were horrible about this.

It's just the HP urethane bushings. It's been hovering aroun 0-15 this week in the NE and I hear it when I first start her up but it's gone within 5 minutes.

it was 17 here in AM and i got the noise going over train tracks, but it was 30 last week and no issues. guess the problem rises in the 20's
