Loud Engine Whistle

I've got a 1999 mazda millenia S and lately I have been hearing a really loud whistle while I am accelerating but it goes away a little bit when i let off the pedal. It is still there while I am idling just not as loud. Speaking of idling, it has been doing it really rough, to the point where it almost stops. The gas mileage is worse than before.

Need some help

Could be a hole in your intake. Air passing through the hole can cause a whistling noise. Try removing the parts up to the air filter (but leave the air filter on), and see if the whistle goes away. If so, then the hole is on that part of the intake. Sorry, i cant give much better advice as i do not know what the intake looks like on a millenia S.

Could possibly be in the Super charger. If you have the know how, pull the entire intake off and check the Charger for any binding or noise that could be a problem or sign of it going south. Put the intake back together and try it. Sometimes problems go away with just pulling something off and putting it back on. Worst case scenario, You may have to have the Supercharger pulled and checked out/Rebuilt.

When's the last time you did a tune-up?

Believe it or not, Ive found this to be true quite often. ;)

Sometimes, things get loose, and redoing the intake can make sure things are tight and secure is somewhat where I was going with that.

The wistling is a GT40 Turbo under your hood and its almost stalling cause u need a better tune

lol. I think you got the wrong car. ahhahaha

But I would go with an intake gasket leaking or some of the intake piping after the VAF leaking. Sounds like an intake leak to me.
