Lost a Battle with a Snowbank

No problem. A guy at work turned me on to it. They even sell the metal door panel clips for my old 72 Volvo.

It's a great resource!

No Potenzas. I ditched those last year and got some Pirelli PZero Nero all season tires. Work great in snow, but nothing works on pure ice.

FYI I found that the Pirelli's worked well for a season. I had my dealership swap them with the stockers when I first got the car. However this season they became almost useless given treadwear. Funny thing is that the tires are rated for 400AA but they are wearing like they're under 200. I only see having them another spring/summer/fall and then they'll be spent. Only have 13000 on my MS3.

Got some Firestone Winterforce on steelies this year and I've been very happy with them. They handle snow really well and are horrible as far as sqirm. You only start feeling their soft sidewalls at highway speeds and aggressive maneuvers in the dry. I run them at ~38 psi.

Alright, finally some pics. After seeing the damage, any more suggestions how to get the middle clip to fasten to the bumper? I got replacements from a body guy I treated. The guy has been doing body work over 20 years and has bins of parts for cars. So I have the clips to fill the holes, bottom one is good to go, but I don't think the middle will hold. The top one is cracked (with the 10 mm screw, but holds).

The middle one is the second picture?

What I would do is lace a couple of strands of safety wire past that gap and tighen it down with safety wire pliers. But, since you probably don't have that stuff lying around, what about using glue to hold the base of the clip in? Or, you could use a nut and bolt with a big washer.
