2011 mazdaspeed 3 tech package
Hi, I just got into mazdas and new to this forum.
I just baught a 2011 mazdaspeed 3 tech package and love it. Still pritty new with only 700miles. I jumped on it today and as soon as i hit 6,000rpm, i felt the car lag hard and looked at the boost gauge and seen it dropping off. I dont understand. Is there a problem with the stock tune from factory or is the turbo really pathedictly small.
Any help with this please guys. Its annoying.
Thanks guys,
Derrick

Power starts to drops at around 5k..you'll need a tune to get power all the way to redline. You'll notice a huge difference with just and intake and a Hypertech tuner...Im suggesting the HT because its a fairly mild tune with good results.

i had the same problem, the stock blow off valve will not hold the pressure. it will leak by at full boost. get a good blow off valve, i got the duel port blow off from street unit. i could tell a huge diffrence.

Not much! Mazdaspeed CAI and Mazdaspeed CBE, other than thoes two items you stand a chance of voiding warranty as it would pertain to engine failure.Mazda dealers can be nice like that!
Thanks man what can I do that wont void my warrenty?

Take a look at the Hypertech Max Energy Sport programmer. The Sport programmer has an option that allows you to remove the boost and load cut restrictions in 1st and 2nd gear. It will increase the HP output without causing long term damage to your engine. It is totally warranty safe, and is the only 50-state emission legal tune for these cars.
