loosing 4 quarts per oil change...

There are no drips in my driveway and none that I can see on the bottom of the engine. The car has been loosing oil for a year or so but not this bad of late. Last week the car spewed a bunch of smoke out the exhaust and now when the car is on, it occasionally spews a bunch of smoke out the exhaust.

My plan is to take it into the dealer this week and not drive it anymore. Anyone have an idea what is wrong with it? I assume the rings are screwed up, the valve seals are leaking or something like an ERG/PCV valve.

big time issues. Let the dealer handle this if you are still under warranty. Could be the turbo leaking or the rings.

4qts a yr would be ok, 4 qts an oil change is horrible. If it's still under warranty take it in to get looked at. I'm thinking a bad ring or a valve seal is bad. How often are you changing the oil, they say 5k but I think that's to long and a lot of guys go over that by a lot.
