Looking To Go Bigger Turbo and Built Engine, Need Input!

Well I've come across some extra cash and am thinking about building my speed 3 motor and putting in a GT3071R. I'm going to go with forged rods, pistons, stage 3 clutch, standback, turbo manifold, front mount intercooler, high flow fuel pump, tune, ect. My biggest concern is going to be getting enough fuel to this car. Coming from the Honda world and building and swaping a couple motors in the past whenever we upgrade internals and want to make more power we add bigger injectors to match the upgraded fuel pumps.

I'm not widely familiar with the DISI engines and have no idea how injectors work in this car. Would I still need bigger injectors along with the cam driven pump or could I just get away with the pump? I suppose you could say my goal is going to be about 400WHP. I'm excepting to fork out up to 10k for everything including labor, tune and parts. It seems there aren't even any options for bigger injectors that I've see yet.

No injectors options. Some other member posted the duty cycle of the stockers and they have a lot of room left. For extra fuel all that is available now is the pg cam driven pump. That is the pump that is on the engine and supply high pressure fuel to the injectors.

I read the you're getting the stanback. What brand you getting? You know cobb is releasing the AP for the ms3 in like a month.

Although the AP is coming out soon, the tuning software wont be out for a while, and if he does everything he wants to do, one of the staged maps wont do... But at the same time, I dont know if I'd trust a piggyback with all the money you'll be putting into the car.
Id hold onto the money and wait until a better tuning option is available.
I'm not saying the piggyback won't be able to do it, I just personally wouldnt want to trust it with what some people have been saying about it.

The injectors should be fine, I think you'll have to wait for a while to get the fuel pump, I don't think PG has theirs all sorted out yet, but they may.

What is better than cobb ap? By the time he's done building his engine cobb will be done releasing the software.

I dont know that it would take almost a year to build his engine. But if it does, then theres no rush and no worries when it comes to the tuning software.
The point I was trying to make was that the AP was the only way Id go.

I think cobb said the release date for the software was a couple of months after the AP. Well, a couple of months for cobb is probably a year lol.

I heard 4th quarter 08.
I wish itd be out faster, trust me.
I just want to get a custom tune nad have no worries because my mods arent going to be matching what they want on for their staged flashes.

I have the cash now the engine if I do decide to build it will be done in a couple months. I'm going to build the engine do the front mount and some type of standback probably the CPE. Once PG has their kinks figured out with the pump I'll then get that and the turbo. Why would it take me a year to pull an engine, build it, throw a few mods on and a tune?

As I said before, the turbo and the motor aren't my concern. Getting fuel to the car is. I have been told that the stock injectors are good for about 350WHP. Why would all these companies come out with pistons, rods, bigger turbos and other mods without releasing an important necessity, fuel. If I don't find an alternative then ultimately I would have to hold off on the full build, but I can atleast get the engine forged and runs the standback at 17psi on the stock turbo once the fuel pump comes out.

I'll keep looking into my options. Thanks for the input it's appreciated.

The pg pump works. The problem now is that PG got some faulty parts from his supplier. As for the injectors, I don't think there is a definitive answer, but the consensus now is that we won't max them out yet. chriscecc914 is trying a complete build and he have stock injectors. Check it out Here.

Like you said, you can start building your engine now and get ready for all the go fast parts that are gona be on the shelves this year.
