Looking to buy a MSP 2003.5

What do you guys think of the IS300? I'm a little worried about winter (rwd) and fuel economy...

IS300 is a beautiful car, but its a rich kid car, 100k miles on an 8 year old car for $15,000??? Plus you have to pay Lexus repair bills, on a 6 cylinder engine! yikes. If you have the money to put a supra engine in it...cool, but like I said, it's a rich kid car. Winter should be fine because its got Lexus cushy stability/traction controls, as long as you use winter tires.

I wanted an IS300 too but to get a good one with low miles you are still looking close to $20k. Plus with the RWD don't expect to drive it in the winter too often. I'm sure with nice winter tires it'll probably still drive okay though.

Yeah i found a 03' for $19k with 28k miles at a dealership....i guess its worth looking at...I also read some reviews of how it barely needs repairs so that sounds good especially for the price.

What do you guys think of a ~salvaged IS300 2001 Dark green with 62k miles for $8k?

He says it happened over 4 years ago before he bought it. I asked him how much he bought it for and he said he forgot, wtf, and then the engine makes a weird whistling sound when the A/C is on. Besides that the car was well taken cared of besides the scratches on the outside and the rusty rims which aren't the attractive ones.

Opinions if its worth it or not?

Don't buy a car with a salvaged title... Not worth the hassel.
