Looking for volume knob for Mazda 626

Hey there -

I'm new to this forum and would really appreciate your help. I have a 2002 Mazda 626 LX and I'm looking for a replacement volume knob.

My black audio volume knob broke off and I'm having trouble figuring out how to get another one without paying a dealership a ridiculous amount of money. (The dealership wants $20 for a knob!)

Does anyone have an extra knob lying around? I will gladly pay shipping or give you a few bucks as a thank you.

Please hit me up here or email me at magkman1@hotmail.com.

Thanks so much for helping out a fellow Mazda owner.

I too am in need of a volume knob for my 2002 626 LX. Please let me know if you find someone that has them. I have called all the junkyards and just like you, don't want to give the dealer $20.

I just purchased a 2001 626 with the volume knob missing. I saw the prices for a replacement and began thinking..came up with a generic solution at my local hardware store for $3.29!!! Get an small appliance knob with an adjustable screw that tightens to fit to any post. You may need to fill the the hole in the appliance knob if it's too deep ( If the appliance knob turns/ adjusts volume, but cannot be depressed to turn the radio on/off, the hole is too deep.) The hardware clerk and I simply punched out a few pieces of rigid plastic with an appropriately sized whole punch, placed this in the hole, and re- attached the appliance knob to the radio post. Magic!!! Works great!!! It's even black and blends right in to the radio console! Hope this helps!! PS...this was the work of two clever women!
