looking for springs

im looking for new springs for my protege5 and im trying to decide which ones to get. ive been looking at the progress springs cause there fairly cheap and offer a drop between 1.5 and 2 inches, i also saw the sprint springs which offer a full 2 inch drop and only a tad more then the progress springs. and coilovers are to pricy for me :(

I have Progress springs that i'd like to sell.
they have 5K miles on them.
bought them brand new, and still have the box.

willing to do $120 shipped.
or $100 for local pick-up....thats if your in Socal 909 area code.

I replaced them with Skunk2 coils, so the Progress springs are sitting in the garage.

yeah they will wear stock struts faster but a lot of people have run them for a long time without any problem.

I run sprint springs. They destroyed the stock struts withing 3000 miles. If you go with springs, make sure you have money for aftermarket struts. Do both at the same time.

Sprint springs plus tokico blues is a good combo. That's what I'm running and it's been going strong for well over 20k now. Before the install make sure you have new endlinks ready. There is actually a new How-To in the How-to forum for making your own adjustable endlinks for cheap. I would go with that route over stock. Best of luck and let me know if you need any help with anything.

thats what im planning. im buying the tokico blue struts. i think thats what they are called

alright cool thanks for the help

really? i don know much about suspention so im hopin this setup would be good and it would get rid of my HUGE wheel well gap!!!

It will get rid of that wheel gap for you for sure. Like I suggested to the other guy, make sure you either buy new endlinks before you start. A good option is the adjustable ones that you can make using the how-to. You will probably need to cut off your old ones since they suck. PM me if you have any questions and I'll help ya out.
