What a pisser. My 1983 Shelby Charger ran the same....

from: http://shelbyglhs.com/GLHS/History/Charger.cfm

"0-60 in 9.0 seconds, had a 16.8 second ET at 82mph, and top speed was 117mph"

Pretty much like my Pro5. Handled great, but sloooowwww

Yea, those were pretty popular back in the day. I tried to buy one of these, '86 Omni GLHS Hatch, but couldn't find one at the time. http://www.xmission.com/~dempsey/shelby/sheldod3.htm
These things were super fast at the time. Great handling cars, too. Carrol Shelby challenged all Ferrari 308 owners to run against this Omni at Willow Springs. No one showed. Not surprising.

When I had my Shelby, a guy I worked with had a GLHS Omni. He let me drive it a few times. "HOLY s***! That thing's ****!N FAST" He offered it to me at a fair price, but at the time I couldn't afford it.

Oh well, I would've beaten it into the ground and gotten arrested several times anyway.

i dynoed my p5 with aem sri and hks axle back and it showed 11hp 112 tq.. the hp side sounded right but the torque seemed low?

speaking of older cars that noone has really heard of my brother & I once bout an 84 Buick Skyhawk. Ever hear of them? was kind of lite and had a 2.2 4 banger in it. It was ok probably made like 90HP or something like that. Didn't have it long timing went on it and it also threw a rod. But they were little bad @$$ cars!

11hp. wow. its a wonder your car even moves.

does those numbers sound correct? the torque i thought should have been around 117+?

it all can vary. air temp, the type of dyno, elevation, etc.

why you say that? stock is 104 ish.. i think the hp was right on but the torque seemed low..maybe because of the intake?
Every mild P5 dyno ive seen the trq number is usually about 10 higher than the hp. im willing to guess your hp is like 105 and trq 115....

The intake isn't going to change the entire character of the engine.

the dyno showed 111 and 112 though... intake and exhaust should yield those results atleast hp wise, stock is 104 so i hope i gained more than 1 whp from intake and exhaust other p5s ive seen showed like 5-8 whp gain with those mods.

With a CAI, i was 101/111, with header and exhaust....104/114.

3 hp...three! Tres!

Your numbers are just odd, its weird to see P5 numbers of hp and trq so close together.
