Looking for an MSP

Hes looking for under 60k miles....stock or modded isnt a big issue, but we would really appreciate it if you could let us know of any problems you have with the car due to mods...he would like to spend under 15k, preferably around 13 or 14
=)

You should be able to find one... check ebay. I drove 3 hours to get mine for 9400 with only 45k miles. bone stock

I own a near showroom condition MSP in Titanium with just under 20K miles (never driven over winters) currently that I'm going to be advertising within the next week. You won't find one nicer regardless of price unless you are looking for a bunch of mods. It's up in southeastern Washington state (11 hour drive from the Bay Area--used to live down there myself back in the 90's). Here are the highlights:

* Adult driven only--40 year old owner!
* 100% stock
* Original owner--have all paperwork
* Always garaged
* Driven like a grandpa (maybe that's because I am) and otherwise babied. Gently warmed up and always idled to cool down before turning off even when the turbo hasn't been exercised
* Interior perfect
* Exterior perfect other than 3 very small imperfections I have pics of--you won't find anything near this condition and this honestly represented
* Wheels have zero curb rash, front chin spoiler has never scraped underneath
* Always kept immaculately clean (yes, I'm a perfectionist)
* Mechanically perfect--serviced only by local Mazda dealer with all receipts
* No accidents or other stories of course. My wife has put maybe 200 miles on the car and the rest have been mine.
* Clear title in hand (paid off and ready to transfer title over to buyer immediately)

In other words this is an amazing find if you are looking for the best possible example. I'm going to ask $13,500 for it, which is well below what it's worth. The reason for asking at least $1,000 less than market value for an MSP in this condition is that we live a bit out of the way--a 3-1/2 hour drive from either Seattle or Portland. So, that's a little extra incentive that anyone who really is looking for a keeper will jump on (save money and get a much nicer car that you can trust has seen only the best treatment). I took a bunch of high resolution pictures a week ago that I can get to you. Send me a private mail if you are interested. It's going on craigslist and maybe autotrader in the next week or so in the Seattle and Portland areas.

Gary,
I was wondering if I could bug you with some questions. I'm thinking about replacing my current car (an '02 Maxima SE) with a Mazdaspeed Protege. As I said I'm still thinking about it, I still have never test drive or even been in a Mazdaspeed Protege. If I may ask, why are you selling yours? What are you replacing it with?

Hi Eric,

I'm selling right now to get down to two cars between my wife and myself (of course, to be able to store the MSP over winter, I had to have another driver, which is a really nice '89 BMW 325iX (all-wheel drive) that can easily serve year-round). This will let us pay down some home expenses, paying for my wife's daughter's wedding, etc. Later in the Fall or maybe not until next Spring, I'm planning to look for a vintage late 60's/early 70's Italian sports car (Alfa Romeo, Lancia). That's normally my thing--to have a "daily driver" that's newer and then an older European car for nice weather. I've owned a couple BMW 2002s and also a '74 Alfa GTV. My "nice weather" car before the MSP was a beautiful '88 BMW M3 for instance (which is even a little newer than I prefer).

Let me know if you have any interest in my MSP and I'll send you a personal mail with my direct email and phone number. I bought it at Lee Johnson Mazda there in Kirkland in October 2003 (which also helps explain the low mileage in addition to storing it winters). It still has the remainder of the 4-year warranty for 5 months or a bit more as well.

Best regards,
Gary

and my friend found one....Laser Blue...hes gonna go over and probably buy it next week

but seeing as a few other people have put up their cars and others could take a look in here for used MSPs, lets just leave this thread up and keep putting up more for sale MSPs in the same thread? its a lot easier

you could put a link to your thread with pictures in it....but its nice to be able to view a lot of possible MSPs in one place =)

thanks again guys for the help!
