Well, winter is approaching, believe it or not, and I am coming to the conclusion that I will need a set of snow tires for my 5. This is new to me, I have never had snow tires before, but someothers on this board have made me feel more than a little bit nervous about the preformance of the Toyos in the snow.(ughdance) Anyways, I was looking for a set of stock rims to put snow tires on. If anyone has replaced their rims, and is looking to move their stockers let me know and we can see what we can work out.
Thanks,
Opus

You'll probably have better luck finding a set of 17" stock rims from a Mazda3. The 17" rims for the 3 will bolt onto the 5 with no problems.

A lot of guys will also go with steel wheels and go one size down (16") - steelies are cheaper, and will withstand getting curbed and banged around better than alloys in the winter time. 16" snow tires are also cheaper and easier to source than 17".

Again, going with the same specs or sourcing a Mazda 3 wheel will work on the Mz5 as well.

I might have mine for sale when I get them......I want some mazdaspeed protege wheels for my rig.....we will talk soon...im getting the GT too
