Looking for a new MSP?

No, and I'm done talking with them. I left a voicemail for Michael, to which he didn't bother to call back until 5 days later. Then he told me the black and the silvers were sold, and all they had left was the yellow. Thanks a bunch, Mikey.

Then he calls back 4 days after that and says one of the guys who bought a silver couldn't come up with the money and backed out. All that did was make me angry; if the car wasn't "sold" (i.e. money exchanged hands), then don't ******* tell me it was. I ended up just saying "no thanks" and hanging up.

Yeah, I saw the silver one sitting on the lot yesterday when I drove by. That's sad b/c Michael was actually a great salesman to deal with. I can't understand for the life of me why they didn't really want to put in the effort to get rid of the MSPs. Guess they forgot that a car sitting on the lot doesn't make them any money!

Heck, I may go down there this weekend and see if they'll take $14k for one of the silver ones.

So let me get this straight. They do still have one silver and two yellows right? I just totalled my MSP and I want another one badly. I would have preferred to get another titanium but I've not been able to find any. And as far as I know too, there's none left here in FL. I can't recall ever seeing a silver one but I would have preferred to get either a titanium or blue. Since that doesn't seem possible, I'd go with the yellow I guess. Anyone have pics of the silver ones? The only thing with the yellow is that it's not a deep rich yellow - but I'd live with it.

The Silver MSP is sold. Sitting in my driveway. It was worth the drive :) They've got one yellow left but I've got it's Kenwood remote (yes)

Did you tell them I put you onto the car? They promised me a finder's fee. I would appreciate it if you'd call them and tell them if you didn't mention it. I could use the money for diapers!!!

Please mention me (Robert Breedlove) when you talk to them! I would appreciate it very much!

Hey how much did you pay for yours? I just called and the Sales Manager was busy so I spoke with another sales person and he's saying the asking price is $17,900. I told them I heard about it through this forum and I was asked the name of the person who told me but I couldn't remember that it was Robert. Next time I call I'll tell them. But what's up with the switch from $16500 to $17900?

I'll be sure to tell them your name if I buy it. Right now I want a better deal than I got on my previous MSP ($1000 down, $301.96 per month for 66 months) but this dealer is reluctant to do so. Hopefully I can talk them down.

When I talked to Richard Andre (Sales Manager) on the phone he gave me 17.9 as the asking price as well. I told him there was no way I'd be paying that much and asked him REALISTICLLY how much they want for it. He said 16.1K was a low as he could go. My father and I didn't bother trying to get them down in the 15's, which is where I would have like to have been, but there were atleast 2 other potential buyers as we foudn out later on that day. If we hadn't of locked in the deal via phone we would have arrived in Baton Rouge with no car.

Is the Sales Manager's name Michael Andre or Richard Andre? I would really like to speak to him and not another salesperson. So are you saying you paid $16100 for yours? How much did you put down and how much do you pay per month (and for how many months)? I really want to get that yellow one that they have man.

Opps, its Richard Andre, I'll edit that. Yep, we paid 16,100; in full. Better call him soon cause there are a few others looking to buy it as well.

Man, I would love to replace my wife's car with an MSP, but we are to upside down on her's.(argh)

Man, I just checked www.autotrader.com and they have used MSP's going from 14k to 20k hahaha. They will never get those prices and if they do I could actually make money on selling mine. That is is I was going to sell mine. hahahaha

Did they tell you that? I don't know if I'd buy that or not... The silver ones have been on the lot for a LOOONG time. To think that they're going to magically disappear is a stretch, don't you think.

Congrats, by the way. I'm jealous!

Oh, BTW -- I can't get the dealer to return my calls about the referral. Guess I'm not that surprised. I guess they'll get a visit Saturday.

I found a few for sale in CT. How cheap do you think I can get one for? Whats the invoice in them now, and how much are they selling em for?
Invoice from last year is the same as invoice now. Anyone that still has one on the lot has had to write them off by now and will be looking to get rid of them ASAP. I don't think it's a stretch to get one for $15.5k. No dealer can claim that they're a hot item now, 'cause anyone who's still got one has had it for 6 months or so.

I'm shocked, I cannot finda new MSP for nothing!!! They really must be running out of the new ones. What I can't understand is why most of the used MSP's are going for more than what alot of us paid for them new ????

Correction found some on www.autotrader.com

I've been on the phone with every Mazda dealer with a MSP listed on autotrader. They either don't really have one or want to sell me a used one. One guy even had a green ES that they put a few mazdaspeed parts on and are trying to sell it for 22K. I almost laughed my a$$ off.

It doesn't look good for me finding another MSP to replace this total loss you see below.
